For all the ebay shoppers.....

6) If a seller has a 99.4 percent good review, is it true? SHould I still be leery of purchasing?

1) What are a list of things that someone should NOT BUY from ebay?

2) Has anyone ever bought real jewelry from ebay(if so what), and would you recommend it?(I am considering getting my girls their gifts)

3) What is the max that I should pay for shipping?

4) If a seller is from another country, is it recmmended that I buy something from them?

5) Is there a return policy or is that up to the seller's discretion?

Sorry for another ebay question. But still a bit nervous

Yes...I would be leary if the seller is from another country...except Canada. As for rules..at 99% positive rating is true. When people buy and sell things, they leave feedback...positive feedback means they had good experiences. I've bought many things on ebay...from jewelry, a digital camera and even a BED! Good luck...FM me if you have any questions.

I buy and sell on e-bay and you should pay careful attention to feedback. I have bought jewelry, I had 2 very good experiences and one that I was disappointed in the item but I never confronted the seller. Shipping costs often depend on the weight and distance. I would make sure you buy shipping insurance for any jewelry you purchase, and make sure that the seller accepts returns if you are not satisfied.

I would stay away from buying things that you cannot verify the authenticity of.

I've bought jewlery from ebay without a problem (and have had it appraised). I've bought and sold a bunch of random stuff.

feedback is crucial - it gives you information on how satisfied past customers have been.

Returns are up to the seller but ebay does have some policies in place should their be a problem.

I have been shopping on ebay for a while now and i always check out the feed back before i decide to bid on an item. the s/h varies from vendor to vendor b/c of the location it is being shipped from and the weight of the item. personally, i enjoy shopping on ebay and thank God i have had only good experiences. i have not purchased any jewerly only wedding supplies.

ALWAYA use a paypal account. the seller should use paypal because it protects you. I would always use a credit card too for the same reason!

I am a bit confused. I just set up a paypal account. It says that I am unverified, what does that mean? How do I add a particular amount of money for what i want to spend, is that possible?

I believe they send you an e-mail that you have to respond to, and then your status is verified and you can use the Paypal. Good luck on getting that item you're bidding on!

One of the girls just raved the other day about a very nice wedding band she got from ebay. The ring was very pretty and was appraised for 3x what she paid.

I would still take precautions on ebay though.Definately use paypal or a credit card.
