ok that is a yucky situation

with stuff like that - i deal with my family and Anthony deals with HIS family.

So hypothetically:
I would ask your FH If he thinks it would be nice for you to go to the shower, then I would go and give a $50 gift off the registry. It will look good to his family if you show up - and brownie points are always a plus.

As for the wedding, it is still his cousin so I think I would still go!

I guess go to the shower just to show your face to his family there

maybe like $100-150

same as above answer...go bc its a family thing and you're part of his family now

bout it being family...

its his cuzins fiance....his cuzin is the guy...and STILL doesnt want to get married.

the fiance has given me grief from the very beginning.

Ok, I would go to EVERYTHING with a HUGE AZZ SMILE. Is there someone going that you can hang out with at the shower? I'd plop myself next to them and enjoy the shower with them.

I say take the high road. Especially if you and FMIL are not on the best terms. This would give her anything reason to have her pantyhose in an uproar, ya know?

I would go...and buy something for her that's a little biting- like a nutcracker or knives or something...a nice gift to show you have class but can be a little 'tounge-in-cheek' too...or you could always be a real dillhole and give her something like this....which is probably what I would do...

haha yah i kno..and its ok bc she understands why im not a fan of the fiance...now that we are on better terms...i told her bout the fone calls i used to get bout how i used to do 'everything wrong'

she used to call me to tell me the things i should be doing. haha thats neither here nor there but still..

i was happy when he called off the wedding..im bitter that it is back on. he deserves better.

OK, I was sort of in your situation this past spring although it wasn't a pissed off cousin, it was very good friends who called off the wedding and then decided to go thru with it anyway.

I'd go, because it's the right thing to do and the last thing you want to do is look like the biatch.

I wouldn't spend more than $75-$100 on the shower gift. Get something nice off the registry or go in on a gift with FMIL or someone else to maybe cut costs.

YES! You go to the wedding... again, it's the right thing to do esp. because it's family. And you don't want anyone to be able to hold anything against you come your wedding day or ever and if you don't go, that's a lot of ammo that they have against you.

oh and thanks for the advice...see...you guys are all better people than i. i cant go with a fake smile and watch her open gifts when in the back of my mind...im thinkin
