For any brides not going on their honeymoon right after the wedding...

Are you going to go away for a night or two after? FH is a school administrator and can't take for an extended amount of time. We are getting married on a Saturday night and I was thinking of going away just for a night that Sunday. Does this sound like too much to do after the wedding?

We are going back to the hotel that all of our guests are staying at afterwards, and then we are going to the city for two nights. We will be going on our honeymoom several months after the wedding.

Same here we cant go on our honeymoon right away either. We will probably go to Foxwoods or something like that just for maybe 2 nights or so

i assumed we'd be waiting til the summer for our honeymoon, but now fh wants to go right afterwards (which is fine by me as long as i have the time off work). but if not, we'll be staying somewhere close for a night or two, just to have a little time together. =0)

We are not going away right after the wedding. I'm and instructor and have a project due the end of June and we also want to buy a home between now and wedding so, the honeymoon can come after. We have to put that as a priority. We will see. We know where we want to go, so all depends in how plans go.

We're not going on our honeymoon right after the wedding because I'm a teacher and don't have off until the summer. I'm fine with that; actually, it might make it easier to find cheaper flights / hotels etc. because we'll have such flexibility with the date.

As for the night of the wedding and the night after, we're going to stay in an inn - we want it to feel special, and not just like 'any other night'.

We did this. I couldn't get off work, so we postponed the HM. We took the ferry to Newport, RI and spent 2 nights up there and then drove back down to LI. It was great - we needed the rest and relaxation (even tho I got sick).

im marrying on a sunday ..off monday and staying at the hotel overnight ...working tues wed and thursd.. honeymoon is fri

Actually we cant go on our honeymoon right away either... we have friends wedding three after our within the month + FH will be busy with work - so we are still undecided on when and where we are going to go for our honeymoon.... so we are thinking of going out east for a couple of days after the wedding! we shall see...
