Hi Becky,

I'm sorry I didn't respond right away. I was in Maryland for the weekend attending my friend's bridal shower. Anyway, I have the information that you need. The BAD bridal shop is known as Kaufman's Wedding World. I understand it is a chain in the Maryland area, but I don't know which town this particular one is in. However, my friend called the attorney general's office about her complaint, and learned that the shop has at least 5 open complaints against them right now!
Buyer Beware!!!!

Also, my friend went to David's Bridal as a last ditch effort to buy something off the rack, and she had FABULOUS success. She loves the NEW dress even more than the Sweetheart gown from Kaufman's. AND, while she was at David's the sales associate told her that David's has had NUMEROUS experiences with frantic brides who have been left high and dry by Kaufman's Wedding World. Can you imagine??
Best of luck with your gown search. I hope you weren't planning to buy at a Kaufman's.

Thank you so much Claud I have pretty much picked out my dress and I was so afraid that you were going to tell me that I was about to buy from a sketchy place. Whew! I have heard of Kaufmanns but I have not been there. I'll make sure to pass this info on to all of my friends down here.

I am glad to hear that your friend found something at Davids that she likes even better. No one should have to deal with a situation like that so close to their wedding.
