Re: For brides doing themes
My MOH is doing a beach theme for her wedding.
What song did you find that fits? There is also the song 'Seasons of Love' from the Broadway Show Rent.

I'm doing probably a winter/disney theme, very loose either way. I've never been to a themed wedding

We're doing a winter theme.
The song 'I'll be your Girl for all Seasons' from Grease 2 would be perfect for your wedding

Re: For brides doing themes
the song is 'llove for all seasons' by Christina Agularia - no clue how to spell her name
never heard of it till i found it on the internet
Each room will also have a poem about love in that season
As you walk into the bourne each guest gets a glass of champagne - at the bottom will be a scallped label that says love for all seasons, our names, and date
We are doing the yellow room as spring - with tullips - pictures of us growing up in the spring time
Fall will be where the fireplace - the red room - we will have leaves between allt he fall pictures
Summer will be outside - and i will use flowers that are all bright -pinks, purples and blues
then the ball room will be a winter wonderland with - it is white - we will fron each window - have shimmery blue overlays for the tables -with snowflakes tossed on the table - with silver candelobras in the middle -plus as walk into the ballroom we will have two large christmas trees with ornament place seatings
plus i found wine charms of the four seasons as our favor

We are doing a tuscan/wine theme. No overkill though, we will be at a vineyard, no need to push the theme much further than favors!

Re: For brides doing themes
We are having a fall theme. We are using all fall colors - a lot of flowers, leaves and candles. On the table when you first walk into the Bourne (where Champagne will be) we are having a big cornicopia filled with fall flowers, leaves and gourds. OUr favors are candy apples and our aisle runner has fall leaves painted on it. (nothing halloween though - not our thing)

oooh that sounds nice.
i thought about it for a bit but I know I'd kill it with too many dragons (my favorite hobby to collect)
Jim is .... 'tolerant' of my love for dragons I don't think he'd like his wedding to be centered on them.
So the compromise is i have two regal golden dragons in asian lanters on our table hehehe

Re: For brides doing themes
I told someone it was a marriaged themed wedding, but mostly because he was annoying me. It started off as a fall theme, but I didn't want to go overboard, so it is a fall inspired classy rustic theme.
I feel its kind of like decorating. You can go totally themey ( like parisian, with Eiffel towers everywhere) or theme inspired ( french country, just using colors & patterns you would see there- that's what I'm trying to do with my fall inspired) or just spin things off 1 element ( like a comforter in a bedroom or a bridesmaid dress in a wedding & pick up the colors for other elements)
If you have no theme, inspiration or style at all, things may be a mish mash. Or you may have a style without even knowing it.
I've never been to a completely themed wedding ( lieka masquerade ball or soemthing) but my cousin had a pink, purpple & dolphin thing for her summer weddign on a boat. That was the first time I saw a a cake topper that wasn't a couple.Well, I guess it was a couple of dolphins. . .

Re: For brides doing themes
We are doing a 'hearts' Theme. My engagement ring has hearts in it and so does my wedding band (my fiance designed the engagement ring knowing I love hearts)
I have red heart candles that will go everywhere my bouquet will be shaped like a heart and other little things like that.
