For brides giving out chocolate favors...

What types of chocolates are you giving out, where did you order them from, and how will you present them?

Re: For brides giving out chocolate favors...

I made my own chocolates. I had 3 different types of molds and I made 2 pieces each of white, dark and milk chocolate. I bought beautiful little cake boxes and put the candy in there.

My godfather's wife did this for their wedding, and I'm borrowing the idea.

Re: For brides giving out chocolate favors...

We gave the Godiva four piece box that I bought in Bloomingdales. They were 20% off and then I opened a credit card account and received an additional 10% off.

They came in the traditional gold Godiva box and I wrapped a piece of white ribbon and added a flower on top. They were very elegant and the gold looked nice on the tables with the ivory table cloths.

Re: For brides giving out chocolate favors...

My FSIL who will be married to my Bro one week from tomorrow made her own chocolate favors as an added bonus to the other favors.
She bought a mold- Roses and made Rose Pops out of 3 different kinds of chocolate. They came out very nice and didn't take her long at all. These kind of materials can be purchased at many stores (ie Walmart, Joanne's, Michael's, Target, ect) Very inexpensive too. A fun way to get the Bridal Party to bond, is having them over for an evening to HELP! She put plasic bages over them and tied it with ribbon the color of the BM dresses and stuck in 2 plasic gold wedding bands. Be creative and it is fun doing so. Best of luck!

Re: For brides giving out chocolate favors...

I know this wont happen to most people, but be careful of temperature...

I had chocolates with my placecards...and they were imported from denmark (where I got my placecards) and they got stuck in customs during the heatwave...last forth of july...so they melted in their packages...

they were still delicious...but when we went around to peoples tables greeting them...I had to tell them that they just looked funny...but they were still very edible!!
