Re: for brides having a mass...
Yes that's perfect. I thought you meant that you wanted to make it clear that it was a full Mass and not just a ceremony. You put that part in the body of the invitation.

Re: for brides having a mass...
Yes, it's polite to let your guests know that the ceremony will be about an hour long instead of 30 minutes.
You can use the wording:
request the honour of your presence at the Nuptial Mass uniting them in holy matrimony (or 'in the sacrament of holy matrimony')

Re: for brides having a mass...
yes- I think that it is a nice idea to let everyone know that it will be a mass which will last longer. we used this:
Melissa Erin ________ and Kurt Lee ________
together with their parents request the honor of your presence as they join together in The Nuptial Mass and are United in the Sacreament of Holy Matrimony

Just put the name of the church. It shouldn't matter if you have a mass or a ceremony.

Yes, it does....
It indicates a few things:
1. that is a religious service with wedding vows as only a small part of it
2. indicates to the guest that it is a full Mass so they will be at the church for at least an hour....
3. Also tells people that the Body and Blood of Christ will be consecrated during the Liturgy of the Eucharist...those that are NOT Catholic and/or not in a state of grace should NOT be receiving....
Also, I feel that if the Mass and what it means is at all important to you, this should be indicated on the invite, JMO
On my invite i put: the usual 'Mr . and Mrs. request the blah, blah...' etc. etc. and the line right before the name of the church i put: Nuptial Mass Church of St. Christopher Address Town, State

this is a great point i never thought about it - if i were going to a mass i would want to fast before so that i can receive, so it would definitely be good to know!

Re: for brides having a mass...
It never occurred to me to indicate on the invitation that it would be a full mass. Although in that week's bulletin, it did read 'nuptial mass' but most of the people there wouldn't have seen that. Oh well! I don't think anyone cared & I think most people enjoyed the mass. Some may not have been expecting it to be an hour long though, but oh well! If it would have caused them to NOT attend, then I'm actually glad I didn't let them know about it beforehand.

Re: for brides having a mass...
it is proper etiquette to indicate that it is a nuptial mass and not just list the church. typically, if you don't list that it is a mass, people will assume you are doing a simple ceremony. so if you are doing a mass, yes, you should put nuptial mass.
