For brides having/had children at their reception

For brides having/had children at their reception

Did you do any kind of special favor for them? My favor is going to be a beach themed candle - which I don't really feel would be very appealing for smaller kids. Me and FH have a bunch of younger cousins who we are very close to and are definitely inviting.

I was thinking of doing a cookie favor for them, but then I was wondering how to mark the favors so the kids get the kids favors and the adults get the adult favors (I won't be having an exclusively 'kid' table, which would solve this problem!). ARGH! Sorry I am obsessing over these details - any thoughts?

I got married around Valentine's Day so I bought these cute Winnie the Pooh Chocolates in a box and wrapped them. I put the kids name on the tag and their table number and the people at my hall put it on their table.

Just put their name and table number on their favor and they will get it!!

I'm going to have a Kids table and each kid is going to get a gift bag filled with coloring book and crayons, candy and some other goodies. ( still thinking about what else to put in there)

I am going to do something different for the kids - not sure what though. If you want to do cookies, can you have each of their names written on the cookies?

Same here. I gave them their gifts the day of the wedding.

I was thinking of doing either candy or bubbles for them.

I am planning the same thing. Except not a kids table. I am going to provide a sort of goodie bag on each table where kids will be. I am going to include a coloring book and crayons.

My favors were mini wine bottles. There werent any little kids, but for those under 21 we made them a cone shaped thing with M&Ms in it.

I heard that everyone at the tables were snacking on them.

My future nieces and nephews will be there. They range in age from 10 to 5. Af ew monthss ago I went to the Dollar Tree store in Levittown and for $25 made them 5 'wedding day goodie bags'. Each one contained:

1. a customized wedding day coloring book I made myself from downloadable pages with a custom cover 'Aunt Theresa's and Uncle David's Wedding Day Activity Book' with a clip art of a bride and groom.

2. a puzzle

3. a ring pop

4. 4th of July pinwheel

5. light up yo-yo

6. crayons

7 playing cards

and a few other goodies.

They sold the plaaying cards and yo-yos in multi packs.

So it worked out to $5 for each kid and it's more than enough to keep them occupied.

I would put a little gift bag with the child's name on it, so it's clear that it's specifically for them. If they're young, just put in a coloring book, some crayons, bubbles and some candy.

I don't really have 'little kids' the youngest is 6 going on 25. HAHA.

I don't plan on doing anything different. The favors are for the parents. They can get all the giveaways from the DJ.

I have a kids table, so i bought a basket and filled it with lip glosses, coloring books, tattoos, sun glasses, light up jewelry, crayons and candy. I have 8 kids at that table and have some other children at tables with their parents, so i bought 12 of everything and will put a note in the basket saying please share with children at others tables.

You could give them the cookies that they can color in. I saw them at CVS. Kids love thoses things. And it keeps them busy and less cranky. I'm having a sitter for the kids in a seperate room, after my wedding ceremony. I told the parents to bring their pjs and sleeping bags, so they can go to sleep since the party will be running late.
