I thought I would share ( I was thinking of Tarakinspa). In Sunday's Newsday, Liberty Travel was advertising 8 night packages to C.R. 2 nights in San Jose (Tryp Carabia or Melia Cariari) and 6 nights in Guanacoste (Sol Hermosa Hotel and Villas Beach or Melia Playa Conchal All Suits Beach and Golf Resort). For $1059 with first choices of hotels and $1289 for second set of hotels. Does this sound good and does anyone have any feed back on these hotels????? THANKS!!!!

Let me know if there's anything else you would like to know! I'll give you the whole truth when I get back next month. I think it's reasonable for what you get for your money, it's not that expensive and you get really nice hotels, cheaper than Hawaii, MUCH cheaper than Bora Bora, more to do there too, I heard there's no night life in Tahiti, in Central America & South America you have to opportunity to see Mother NAture at her best and appreicate rain forests and wildlife. Belize is also part of the Carribean so they are prone to getting hit by SOME (not all) Hurricanes, they weren't effected at all this year (Lili & Isabelle both past them by), But ask Mike & Donna, they will tell you first hand that they get great weather, usually the rain there lasts for a couple of hours & then clears up to be a beautiful day, kinda like Florida, where as Costa Rica's wet season is exactly that in some areas....WET!

Both Belize & Costa Rica are BEAUTIFUL, the best part is that neither one is ever crowded or all that expensive since a lot of people don't know about these small countries, it makes them the perfect romantic place to go!
