It seems that I will have my menstrual cycle the week of my wedding. I’m hoping it will end in time before the honeymoon but my cycle is so out of control that it’s always different. I called my GYN doctor to find out if there was anything I could do to prolong it & he recommended that when it’s time for me to take my sugar pills (the green ones) that I should skip them & start a new pack. He said it works for a lot of woman but of course there is no guarantee. Just curious if any other brides have ever tried doing this & if it actually works. Please let me know I’m a little sad that I’ll be pms-ing the week of my wedding. Like that week isn’t going to be stressfully enough, lol!!!

Re: For Bride's on Birth Control
My Future cousin just got pregnant doing that. It works for some and not for others.

yes it works. just start the new pack on the day you would usually start the placebo. you might get some spotting, but nothing like your full on AF

Re: For Bride's on Birth Control
I used to do it a lot. It always worked for me. If I skipped it this month, next month might be a bit heavier but not awful. Good luck!

Re: For Bride's on Birth Control
I did this when I was on vacation! It worked, I did not get my period. What ****** though was that I felt like I was going to get it all week, all bloated and crampy.

Re: For Bride's on Birth Control
I did it for my HM.
ETA: If your MD thinks it might be a problem for you try doing it a few months before the wedding to alter your cycle.

I have done this and it has worked. However, my next period was horrible...I guess it had to make up for the missed one !!

True or False I keep hearing a little of both.

Thats exactly what my gyn said just yesterday. At least I have 10 months before I have to worry about it, but if everyone on here is right, I might try it sooner rather than later.
