I found this poem that could be used on a memory candle or in a program...
My father is still with me, but it still brought tears to my eyes...
Walk me down the aisle Dad You’re the only one who can Over these scattered rose petals To where I’ll take his hand
Walk me down the aisle Dad And fill my heart with peace Whisper that you’re proud of me Set my soul at ease
Walk me down the aisle Dad Though it seems I walk alone I carry you inside my heart Life lessons not outgrown
Walk me down the aisle Dad And dry my endless tears My life’s forever changing I miss you more each passing year
If God would grant me just one wish I’d wish for one more day For you to walk me down the aisle, Daddy And give your daughter away.

OMG...I found that Sunday night....I bawled...but I love it...I'm using that in my ceremony....

It is beautiful...
My dad passed away less than a year after I met my FH.
I'm thinking that I might print out the poem on a small piece of paper and carry it with me on my wedding day.

That is so beautiful; I lost my Dad in April and as our wedding day approaches, it's really starting to get to me that he won't be there to share the day.

My friend lost her father on Monday - her (now) FI was going to ask his permission for her hand. I think I'll tuck this away for a less vulnerable time.
