for Brides with Brothers

Are you including your Brother in the Bridal party?

If he were my sister, that wouldn't even be an issue, but I just don't want to take over my FI's side of the BP. At the same time, of course, I don't want to exclude my brother either (he's 20).

He will walk down the aisle and be in pictures either way.

What is everyone doing?

Both of my brothers are in the BP. The older one is walking my grandma down the isle and the other one is a groomsman. DF's brother is his best man and one of his friends is a groomsman too.
Neither of us have sisters, so I have three friends for my side but no MOH b/c I could not pick between them.

Yes, he is in the bridal party as an usher. I only have 1 brother, no sisters and I'm quite close with my brother.

FH understood how important it was, my family is very close. So, my brother and two nephews are in the BP

ABSOLUTELY!!! I am very close with my brothers...but there was never any question with my FI that they would be in the BP!! But if there was I would have fought with him about it...

Both of my brothers are. My youngest is 16. FH's 2 sisters are in it too so it works out very well.

DH and I wanted to include all of our siblings. I asked his sister and he asked my brothers.

My brother is one of the GM....FH has no sisters and I only have 1 brother so it wasn't too much of an issue to have my brother...

my brother is a GM....I requested that FH ask my brother & one of my cousins & he didn't object...I asked FH SIL & cousin to be BM's so it all evened out!

My brother is my MOH 'Man' of Honor! FI wanted to ask him to be a GM but I've always wanted him to stand up for me! So we gave him that title!! He's so excited he's planning the BP! Heheheheh.... should be rather interesting! LOL!!

We only had an MOH and BM, so my DH chose his brother. My brother walked my mom down the aisle and I had him do a reading.

I have 2 brothers and I only asked 1 of them--there's just way too many already--I felt bad at first--but whatcha gonna do??

He got over it real fast.....LOL

I did not include my brothers in the BP. We already had 6 and I didnt want anymore. So my one brother walked my mom down the aisle and the other did a reading!

I just went through this with my brothers wedding. There are two sisters and another brother besides the one getting married and none of us were asked to be in the BP because his girlfriend didnt think of it. We were all hurt and insulted. I would definetly have your brother in the BP. Any wedding I have ever gone to or been in has included immediate family until now!

this is what I am doing too.....I don't have a sister and it was very important to me to honor my brother. I am also having 5 bridesmaids.

Of course hes in the bridal party...He's 20 also.

My FI is very good friends w/him, they even work together. He would be the best man, cept FI has a brother and is using him, unless we have 2 best man(s?).
Half of the groomsmen is my family, it doesn't really matter to me or him...

I have two brothers and they are both in the bridal party. I asked his sister and sister-in-law. It was really important for us to make the wedding about bringing the two families together.

my brother is definitely in the BP- thankfully he is fairly close to FI, but I wouldn't get married without him there. To compromise, I gave my FI one spot on my side, so he could choose one of my bridesmaids...I think that is pretty fair.
