Mom and I are making mine! We are making the 'Jellyfish' look and attaching daisys and starfish to them!

I'm buying long tin buckets from Michael's and putting a pretty ribbon around them so they can hang at the end of the pew...then the florist is going to insert hydrangeas into them. I saw the idea in Martha Stewart mag last year but can't seem to find the pic now....

I made the swag years ago when I managed a gift basket business. All the bows and other items are easy, you just have to be patient and realize that the first few are not going to be perfect.Since I won't have pews I have no room for swags. Hmmmmm, may on my FH and my reception chair. Have to think this one through.

I've made so many bows that I can't do it without the Bowdabra but it goes a lot faster with it. I was going to buy the big puffy ribbon with the wire edging but I think I'm going to tone it down and use 2 inch double faced satin with tails to the ground instead. Keep us posted when you try the swags. Send pics please!

Definitely goes better with a Bowdabra!!!!! I'm glad you mentioned the 2 inch double faced satin. I was going to check online the width of ribbon I need for the pew bows, and I was wondering if I would have a fluffy enough bow without the wire. Any swag making tips before I try? Thanks!!!!! I am having the florist make them. I do not have much time for DIY and they will set them up when they set up the flowers in the church.
