For girls blocking rooms at Wingate / La Quinta

How big is the shuttle bus that they provide to and from the hotel and RH? Do they provide more if you block more rooms?

I'm looking at limos and trying to figure out if I'll need to get an additional van from a limo vendor. . . I don't want people stuck waiting around for it to come back.

No they don't provide more than one trip. I'm booking 20 rooms and it's a 14 passenger van. I said since I'm booking more rooms can I have it do 2 trips they said that it will be more money. I don't' think we are using that hotel anymore. We got a shuttle bus from our limo company who will do as many pick up and drop offs as we need.

They are going to lose a lot of business if they don't do more than one trip! If I have more than 14 people staying there, how will they all fit into the shuttle. Not right.. I think all brides using this hotel should sign a letter stating they need to offer more than one trip.

Thats really annoying i didnt know that. I have 30 rooms booked so they gave us 2 vans, but that might not be enough. Also im a little annoyed b/c we signed a contract with them and they never let us know they changed owners . I dont even know if my contract is still good so FH and i called the woman we booked with and she is on a leave of absence....

If we block out 30 rooms, I can't see how they would only offer one shuttle. What a crock!

Yeah, but if they only make one trip, that still won't be enough :-/

I'll just have to pay for a shuttle. Oh well.

hummm i didnt know they changed the name. it would have been nice if they alerted everyone.... But I am also cancelling my contract because I am changing my wedding date. But I don't know if I want to use them now?? Plus you are rihgt it does sound like a ghetto name

I felt the same way!!!! I didnt like saying that my guests would be staying at La Quinta.....


I spoke to someone at JT and he said that they opened a new Hilton... im actually going to go check it out. The Hilton doesnt provide a shuttle though...

they still honor all your contracts and stuff so no worries

and the funny thing is that FH and I stayed in a La Quinta in Jacksonville and it was GHETTO - we left after THREE HOURS in the middle of hte night because it was so gross

BUT that was bc of the area NOT the hotel

so we joke around whenever we see one that we are going to stay there and now we are keeping our guests there LOL oh well

seriously it JUST changed over - and they only changed signs so i am sure it is still nice

i am just stuck waiting for all new cards from them so i cant start my invitations!!!

I am getting a seperate shuttle / bus that will accomodate 30-45 people approx. Their shuttle is small (14 passenger??). If you do a search for shuttle on here, I've seen many other brides have opted for the same thing. If you don't use the shuttle, they give you a credit off your bridal suite if you are staying there.

PS- I've emailed my contact at La Quinta 3X and no response. FH and I are stopping by early Sat. morning to see them in person and see what's up with our contract. I'll keep you all posted.

give them a call and ask to speak to sales they are super helpful!! they sent out direction cards in one day and then i had to call back for accomodation cards ( i forgot that is what i needed in the first place ) and they should be getting to me soon

they will answer all your questions - its all the same staff!

I talked to her literally like 10 minutes ago. I asked if she would be there on Sunday when I wanted to come in and she said no, she'll be in Monday. I'm going Sunday anyway and I'll just call to make the room blocks on Monday.
