How big is the shuttle bus that they provide to and from the hotel and RH? Do they provide more if you block more rooms?
I'm looking at limos and trying to figure out if I'll need to get an additional van from a limo vendor. . . I don't want people stuck waiting around for it to come back.

I talked to her literally like 10 minutes ago. I asked if she would be there on Sunday when I wanted to come in and she said no, she'll be in Monday. I'm going Sunday anyway and I'll just call to make the room blocks on Monday.
I already blocked my rooms (25) and my bridal suite. Just want to make sure all is good with the contract which I signed a few months ago w/ them. Kirsten has been great - I'm sure she's just a little crazy with the change of hands. & we've done a tour of the hotel already too (when it was Wingate) very cute- more of a boutique feel and the rooms were clean & comfy beds...

I am getting a seperate shuttle / bus that will accomodate 30-45 people approx. Their shuttle is small (14 passenger??). If you do a search for shuttle on here, I've seen many other brides have opted for the same thing. If you don't use the shuttle, they give you a credit off your bridal suite if you are staying there.
PS- I've emailed my contact at La Quinta 3X and no response. FH and I are stopping by early Sat. morning to see them in person and see what's up with our contract. I'll keep you all posted.
give them a call and ask to speak to sales they are super helpful!! they sent out direction cards in one day and then i had to call back for accomodation cards ( i forgot that is what i needed in the first place ) and they should be getting to me soon
they will answer all your questions - its all the same staff!
Kirsten just called me back- everything is the same in my contract that I signed when they were Wingate. & all my rooms and my suites that were booked are in stone too.... GREAT!

I thought they were nice! They have a few different one- a few JR. Suites and then a master master suite. We reserved one of the JR's for Friday & Saturday night so me and my 6 BM's could get ready Sat. morning. I would stop by and have them show you the rooms so you can pick the exact one you want...

My friend is an officer in garden city and said he drove by and it's an ugly obnoxious color! It used to be cream! I can't deal!

Oh no! Okay, maybe I'll just look at the Hilton across the street from my apartment. . .FH said we might as well go home if we are going to stay there though. . .I guess he has a good point

I've never been inside, but I can stop by and look tomorrow or tonight. I'll FM you. . . It looks nice from the outside and it is right by the Source, so your guests would have something to do if there is a break between the reception and the church.

maybe it was a base color but the guy said it was orange. It was a white/cream color.

I just came back from there & the outside is exactly as it use to be except it has the la quinta sign up instead of wingate.
the inside was nice, the beds were big & comfy. i looked @ the junior bridal suite which was nice & had a big bathroom. she told me it was $279 per night. the larger suite was occupied. i believe she said the larger suite was $305 per night.
your guests have 2 book a minimum of 15 rooms in order to get the free shuttle van for 14 people, otherwise the van is $240 round trip.

im so pissed that they changed to la quinta.....i just feel like la quinta sounds like a ghetto hotel im picky and I dont like the name of it hahahaha
i heard so many good things when it was the wingate.......but whats going to happen now? i need to find a hotel for our wedding and our guests hopefully laquinta does the right thing!
