For girls who already bought their dress...

How did you know that the dress you bought was the one?

For me it was the fact that my mom looked at me and said I looked like a princess. I just melted.

What are your stories?

I knew it was the one because everytime that I would go to the store adn try it on I would just start to cry. I went to 3 diff stores and I tried it everytime and just cried. I took that as a sign that its the one

I brought pictures of dresses with me and tried all of them on, i hated all of them, the woman asked me what i was willing to try I told her anything. I tried on a dress even though it was ugly on the hook, well i turned around and my mom was in tears. It looke so much better on. Thats the one i got.

The same way you know it's the right man
(Right out of a magazine)

Actually for me,
1. My mom cried and
2. I felt beautiful in it. I mean all the gowns make you feel special, but the 'one' makes you feel BEWTEEFUL

I never had the feeling that it was 'the one'. I had an idea of what I wanted and where I was hoping to be on price. The material was also what I was looking for, it looked pretty on me - so I got it!

My mom did the same thing, and then started crying

It was only the second dress that I tried on, but I knew. I said to myself 'It can't be this easy', so I continued to try on more dresses. I hated all of them and wouldn't even let the attendant even finish zippering some of them. After I decided to get it, and I put on the vails, even I was crying.

I really loved it when I tried it on. But, it was my first time really looking, so I felt like I should keeping looking for some reason. Then, I found another dress that I really liked and felt confused. I was finally able to try them on back to back. While the second one was still really beautiful, the first one I had tried on was just like WOW!

I bought my dress on a total fluke. I wasn't even supposed to be looking yet, but...

Then, I started freaking out and having second thoughts. I'd glance at the wedding gowns while shopping for BM dresses and kept thinking, 'what if i would have tried this one...' This all came to a complete stop when I tried my dress on for my best friend. She was stunned and said that it looked like the dress had been made just for me.

i was in the bridal store and i saw another bride wearing it, it looked so beautiful, and probably not something i would have took off the rack to try, i tried it on along with a few others and then i left. i didn't want to impulse buy, but i loved that dress! i can say i felt like a princess! i could remember exactly what the dress looked like for the next week, but none of the others, so i went back, tried on a few, none of them wowed me, when i put on my dress i just knew, it was the dress....i love it so much!

After months of searching, I realized that my gown was 'the one.' It was the only one that truly took my breath away....just like my FH..

I came out of the fitting room and my Mom started to cry. My Mom's not like that at all and I just knew. I also really, really didn't want to take it off.

I too went into the shop with a magazine full of dogeared pages, none of them looked right on me. After I had tried on my last dress, my mother walked in the dressing room and said that she and my coordinator had picked out a dress to try. It looked like nothing on the rack. Needless to say that when i walked out there was a bride doing her final fitting with full makeup, mother, moh and fg...when i stepped out everyone stopped talking. my coordinator was in tears, my daughter and the woman's fg and mother came over all misty and said that it was the one. i still hadn't made it to the mirror yet...when i did, i started crying...here's the scary part: the dress fit me like it was made for me!!! It was the first store we went looking, and i tried another store just to see, but all i kept thinking of was my dress. That was a saturday, the following saturday we went back and ordered my dress. another scary part, while we were walking out i said 'lets see what they might have for my daughter'...why did we find a dress by a different designer that matched my dress to a T!!!

Re: For girls who already bought their dress...

No crying for me. I think it was just when I looked in the mirror, and although the dress was too small and my bra was sticking out and my hair was messed up from pulling a thousand gowns on and off...I still looked in the mirror and saw myself looking beautiful. That's how I knew it was the one.

Sadly enough i went shopping by myself (mom isnt into weddings lol) but when my sister was looking for her veil i saw this one dress and tried it on..and i loved it..so last week i went and looked at a few more, tried them on, but i knew the first one i tried on was the one. Its just 'me'..and i didnt need anyone to tell me i looked good in it cause i knew i looked good..

It was this easy- it was really comfortable and light and in my price range. It also made me look like I had a bust. Everyone just sighed when I put it on. It was sooo me.

I knew it was the one because I kept on going back to the same dress and trying it on. It just felt right. I actually felt like a bride instead of someone just trying on bridal dresses.
