For girls who had their showers already

i'm just curious if you got stuff that you didn't register for.

me & my mom keep having the same disagreement. she tells me it doesn't matter if i registered or not still going to get alot of duplicates or stuff i didn't register for.

duplicates happen ALL the time at showers, and ive always seen it at other showers. At my shower luckily i didnt have alot of duplicates, i did get 4 of 1 item lol but compared to other showers it was not bad. Sometimes the person who is buying the gift forgets to give the person at the register your registry to scan it off and sometimes the store does it but theres some malfunction and it doesn't come off, so although it was bought already, it will still show as available on your registry.

I did get a few things that werent on my registry but not alot. For example a lenox vase. ALso i had the ice cream maker on my registry and somebody bought it but also bought me these cute high ice cream glasses like you see at ice cream shops. So the things i did get that werent on my registry, i liked

me & mother butted heads about registering. she is very old fashioned & didn't even want me to register. she was even against the whole shower thing... don't even ask

she eventually gave in.. i just dread hearing 'i told you so'
