FH and I are thinking of buying one. What does matnc. chgs include? Do you have to pay taxes, gas, water, electric etc on top of it?

our maintenance includes, taxes, gas, heat and water.
we only pay electric out of pocket..
this is for a coop in bayside..

Usually the maintenance at most is real estate taxes, maintenance of the development and heating. There are some (Clearview in Whitestone) that also include your electric.

My maint. includes heat, water, gas and taxes. I pay electricity seperately.

I'm in Bayside as well, maintenance includes: taxes, water, heat. I pay for electric and cable and extra for our pool.

Bay Terrace Gardens in Bayside : Maintenance includes taxes, groundskeeping, heat, hot water and electric. I pay extra maintenance for each of my AC's, the dishwasher, parking spot, and garage

I owned a co-op in Rockaway (Queens) and my maintenance included real estate taxes, water, gas and building maintenance. Electric was NIC. You monthly maintenance is based on the amount of shares you own.

Each A/C $15 per month year round dishwasher $5 parking space $15 unheated garage $35

Our maintenance includes heat, water, gas, snow removal (but not from your car), landscaping. My taxes are included in the maintenance charges but they are much less than it would be for a house. I love my co-op and will missit after I get married...it is easy living...no oil bill or oil tank to fill up, no roof that needs fixing, snow that needs to be shoveled....etc!! I am renting it out for a year and then selling it around this time next year. FH has house and we want to do a lot of updating, so we will need the $$$!!

I own a coop in whitestone gas,heat,water,electric,garbage,lawn,snow,all included in maintance, most incl this although usually not electric...cable is also a special rate bc its a bulk rate. HTH
