gals, do you know how long of a runner to get for the skylight chapel?

also, which bakery does JT use for their wedding cake? has anyone been in contact with the bakery?

i just sent invites out, got a letter from my DJ to get on top of the schedule... and the more i do, the more details i find i gotta address!!!

for some reason i thought JT had an aisle runner that you can use no?

they do have an aisle runner for you to use, but if you want to get your a personalized one you would need to know what size to purchase/order.

JT will contact you, about 6 weeks before or actually less maybe 4 weeks you will do your final menu and they'll send you a letter in the mail and call you to set it up. The whole part with how you will set up tables and bringing stuff in you do the week of your wedding. Everything you will put on the tables and set up in the room you can drop off anytime the week of your wedding. BUt they wont contact you until august to do all this since youre getting married beginning of september

No you dont choose, they assign a maitred bc its all based on who is on their schedule at that time.

good questions...i had some of the same ones...if i don't contact dortoni are they going to contact me? because i actually thought when jt calls you to go over the details they also go over cake stuff so i was waiting for that...should i call dortoni's soon?

Don't worry, if you're not doing anything too complicated with the cake (i.e. different designs than in the book) then you can handle it at the meeting w/ JT. I changed the colors of my cake and they were able to do it at the semi-final meeting three weeks before the wedding .

in brown with gold floral?

or maybe even white with brown like this


or rust with gold floral like the first?

should i start early? or do you think thats simple?

also, approx how much do you think they'll charge for the changes? did they charge u extra to change color?

Those are gorgeous! I don't think that will be too difficult but perhaps if you are using a different design than in the book you should contact them earlier than the meeting w/ JT. They didn't charge me extra for the color change.

No, sadly no cake tasting at JT (I would have loved to eat a bunch of cake LOL) but I had heard so many great things about Dortoni that I wasn't concerned. I have heard that if you contact Dortoni directly that you can arrange one though..but don't quote me on that

Wow...I had no idea you can change the color of the cake and choose different things? I didn't even know it was from an outside bakery! I went to meet with Anna, last week (for final menu selection) and she just told me to pick a cake...that was it!

So I can make it more fancy?? Anyone have any picks???? TIA xo

i called up Dortoni and they were really nice~ we're having our final menu meeting soon too with JT but then i'm going to goto Dortoni to have them change the color.
