For ladies getting married in a church....

how much time is good between church and RH? We dont want too much time to inconvenience guests but we also want enough time for FH and I and BP to take pics. FH really wants to be at the cocktail hour and doesnt want to spend that hour taking pics. Let me know what you ladies are doing. TIA

My chruch is at 2pm - we are having a full mass.... our cocktail hour starts at 6, because we both want to be at the cocktail hour... so figure mass is over by about 3 - 3:15.... that leaves us like 2 hours to get there & take pics... We're taking pics on the rh's property...

Hi Roseanne !

Me and Mike are having our church ceremony at 3pm and the CH starts at 7pm. Our photographer said it woud leave enough time to finish pics so we can attend our CH. I was thinking of possibly setting up a stopping place in b/w for guests who don't have anything to do - possibly a winery located by Land's End. Also, I accounted for traffic on a Friday evening.

My church is at 2 and then our cocktail hour is at 6 as well. We aren't having a full mass, just the ceremony. That should be plenty of time to get us out to Long Island. I spoke with my priest back in March so I am just going to call him back this week to confirm everything.

The latest we could get the church was 2:30 (we are going to beg for 3) and our cocktail hour starts at 7:30. Our RH said that if alot of guests arrive around 7 they will start early at no charge

'08 crasher here...
our Church only has certain times available so we kinda begged for 4pm to make it later and they said no problem but that's as late as we can do it.
our CH starts at 7:30

while i know a big gap is considered rude, it is rather common these days.

07' Crasher....

Our Mass is at 3pm-4pm

Our Cocktail hour doesn't start till 6pm

That to me is the most time allowed between both events any longer is hard for the guests. Because of our gap of time we are having the guests go to the downstairs bar of the RH and relax there let them run up a tap.

My church ceremony is ending at 4 and my CH starts at 5:30. My RH is 20 minutes away from the church
