We opted not to invite children. The 3 FG's were picked up around 9, cause they were exhausted, and so their parents could enjoy themselves fully. I think it was perfect just as it was - the dance floor was so packed and crazy, it really was not the place for a child to be dancing anyway.
we're doing the same...the 5 kids that are part of the wedding will be picked up around 10 (an hour into the reception)
1- the wedding ends at 1am and children that are all 5 and under shouldnt be out this late 2- we want the parents to have a good time and not worry about watching their kids 3- im not a fan of little kids running in circles around the dancefloor at a wedding

I know for some people they need to cut out children or else there will be like 20 of them! I'd say if you only have a few and they are well behaved and it is important to you that they are there, def invite them!

Re: For Ladies who had Kids at there wedding
The kids where the focus at my wedding. It was a way to bridge all our big family. I made goody bags with art for them. We had ice cream wedding cake. We had music and entertainment that was kid friendly. The kids had a blast running around the flamenco dancer. Our families felt really honored that we took such good care of their kids.
Having the kids there made the wedding easy, fun and so sweet. They were so amusing, the things they did.
One of the little girls got so tired running around and dancing but didn't want to leave the dance floor, so she sat on the floor in the corner of the dance floor and watched everyone dance.

Re: For Ladies who had Kids at there wedding
we are having kids at our wedding! i actually have a lot of little cousins and it would be just wrong to not allow them to come cause we are all very close and i would want them there anyway! honestly, this is a celebration with family and friends witch means kids should be there too i think.. we are having about 17 kids there between the ages of 2-12 including with the flower girl, little bride, little groom and ring boy and jr bridesmaid and jr GM.. honestly, i want kids there, i think they make the party too! :)
i will be putting some of them in a kids table with goodie bags and little things to keep them entertained with, like crayons and coloring books and stuff like that.. the youngest ones will be with the parents i think!
PS: my brother and sister in law got married last feb and they had about 20 kids there and it was GREAT! they were all soo cute running around dancing and having a good time and were very well behaved, so i am looking foward to having them at mine too.. they also put them all in a kids table with goodie bags! :) it all worked out great!

Re: For Ladies who had Kids at there wedding
I think having kids at a wedding really sweet. They usually dance til they can't dance anymore and doze off under the table. I have been to 3 weddings in 2 years that this happend. It causes too much drama if you go into not inviting because feelings get hurt and it's not worth it.
