we didn't invite children but we actually ended up having 3 kids there (our two flower girls and a cousin's baby from OOT). i actually thought having the kids there was sweet. we just got our video footage back and there are so many great shots of the kids and their parents.

We invited kids and I am SOOOOOOOO happy we did. They really completed the night. They all had a great time and their parents loved having them there too. I really recommend it. Your wedding is a celebrate of love and family. What's more family than kids!
We gave them (the ones under 10) an activity bag with crayons, coloring papers, a maracas and a pocket pinball game to help keep them busy.![]()

We invited kids for close friends and family only. All in all, we had about 1.5 tables worth of kids under 18 (that's about 16-18 kids). I didn't regret it. I didn't even notice them honestly. I think NOT inviting them would've strained relationships and it wasn't worth it to me.
we had a whole bunch...and they were a little annoying but we wouldnt have had it any other way (we couldnt have imagined them not being there since we are close with our cousins)
We are inviting immediate family's children. FH has 4 neices and nephews..they will be invited. I have 2 cousins who have small children - i have a very small family so theyare like my sisters and their children will be invited... also they are coming from out of town and probably wouldn't be able to attend the wedding if i didn't allow the kids... i think it will be fun -- but immediate family is where we draw the line! haha
I don't regret it at all!! they are our friends and family too! they were so well behaved and had so much fun we had about 18!!!
We opted not to invite children. The 3 FG's were picked up around 9, cause they were exhausted, and so their parents could enjoy themselves fully. I think it was perfect just as it was - the dance floor was so packed and crazy, it really was not the place for a child to be dancing anyway.
everyone loved the kids! i think most of the pictures were taken of the kids running around and playing. I thought it made it really nice but DH and i love kids.
The only kids we invited are our nieces and nephews and our bridal party's children. That's about 17 kids. We couldn't invite anyone else with children because we would be opening pandora's box. I think having our nieces and nephews there will be great...the ages range between 6 mos old-17 years old.
We absolutely didn't regret it, and are very happy that we had kids at our wedding. We actually ended up with at least 20-30 kids ranging from ages 1-16. They are all an important part of our lives and/or the lives of our guests, so we really didn't want to exclude them. They actually made the reception much more lively because they all danced and had a great time. When we watched our wedding video we were so happy to see how much fun the kids had and how their excitement and enthusiasm to dance and have a good time spread to all the other guests. Our dance floor was packed all night,and I really feel that the kids had a lot to do with that. Of course, everyone's situation is different, and not everyone wants kids running around. I think you and your FH really need to try to picture what you want your reception to be like to try to decide if kids will fit into that.
I would never think of having my wedding without kids. In total we are having about 15 kids, under the age of 10. Than we have about another 6 between the age of 10-15.
I am all for children being at the wedding. The wedding is about becoming a family and what is more family than children! I had so much fun dancing with them!
we had 5 kids under 10. And then we had about 4 people 10-17. They were all first cousins or nephews. Def do NOT regret ahving them there!! The younger kids were the life of the party! The nephews were dancing up a storm and were a huge hit!!! Hysterical! And they made for cute photos!!
