For my non-strapless dress wearers...

Original post by Longmarriage

I found a great article for those of us NOT wearing strapless gowns. The dress I chose is a v-neck, and believe me, it was a very limited selection when I would specify that I wanted lace and a v-neck. I think strapless dresses can look gorgeous, but I always knew it just wasn't for me. I'm a nerd who gets excited when people post info about non-strapless dresses, so this article was interesting to read. Anyway, here's the link if anyone is interested:

Thank you for posting this! I knew that I did not want a strapless dress because it is not right for me. Almost everything was strapless when I was looking, of course they said they could add spaghetti straps, but to me that's still pretty much a strapless dress. And there was a bridal salon we went to that was actually annoyed I didn't want strapless...they didn't have anything that wasn't strapless! My friend bought her gown there, but she ended up with strapless even though that's not what she originally wanted. I wasn't going to change my mind. I had my heart set on off-the-shoulder, because that style is more flattering for me, and that's what I got!

This article may give hope for all the ladies looking for a dress with straps at least maybe even sleeves. I remember how diffucult it was to find a dress with sleeves. For future brides hopefully the strapless trend will minimize a little.

Them maybe bm dresses can get sleeves :)

thanks for posting this! that is so awesome - all the dresses i tried on either had long sleeves or some kind of shoulder covering - i don't feel like it is appropriate to wear strapless in church and i didnt want to have to search for a wrap. . . i am so petite though every dress place kept bringing me strapless!!!!! but i think i found a dress i love - although it is too early to buy it! and i also dont want to have to worry about pulling up the dress all night - that is one of my pet peeves!

maybe THE dress

I love some of the strapless gowns, but I don't have the figure for it even if I wanted one. I love my sleeved dress!!!!

That was my dress and I have to tell you that I got so many compliments from people...they said it was so nice to NOT see a strapless.

For me, although I wear strapless dresses from time to time, I wanted something different, something I felt comfortable in church. I honestly can say that that dress was made 'just for me'!

thanks for posting this. I completely agree with this article.

My dress is 3/4 length sleeves. And, I love it. It was very hard to find.

My dress is off the shoulder - I refused to wear a strapless, just because I wanted something really different than everything else. It wasn't easy, but there was quite a bit out there.
