for the 06ers..did any one NOT have a RD???.

Fh and I have recently been thinking about not having a RD...the reason being....we are seeing one another before the ceremony and will be at RH taking pictures for about 2 hours BEFORE the ceremony...our entire BP and DOC will be there so she advised we just do the small Rehersal then.....also because our wedding is the day after th 4th of july it seems some people are fine coming out the 5th but it might be difficult for some to travel and be here for the evening of the 4th when we would have RD...what do you girls think??
Im thinking whoever is here we can all just get together and go to dinner....???

i don't think its necessary if you are not doing a rehearsal beforehand, i know a lot of people that did not have a rehearsal and therefore did not have a dinner, i will only have one because fh is nervous and wants a rehearsal and i felt if i have to ask these people to come out i guess i should feed them

also good luck on your wedding, that's my b'day!

we are not...our hall doesnt do it, so we decided to skip it all together, no one seems to mind LOL and it saves us more $$$.

I am not having a rehearsal either but I might have a dinner the night before only because I have a lot of family coming in from out of town and feel it would be nice to host them a dinner for their trouble.

Thanks ladies, for your feedback.....I think are are leaning towards eliminating it all together.....it will save a ton of $$ and put less pressure on my OOT guests, they now dont need to get here a day earlier!!!

I'm not having the rehearsal part but I am having the dinner. I'll do the rehearsal about 15 minutes before the ceremony.

we are having a very tiny BBQ for ours...just to have one. no REAL RD/rehearsal for us either...we've had the same issue with people being able to come to our wedding....it's the weekend AFTER the 4th and many took the whole week for a vacation!

We're not having one. Everyone in our BP is either married or have been in weddings beforehand. We just don't see the need.

Well we were planning on having one....but we are getting married at RH. I just left a message to see if we can have the rehearsal beforehand....then nix that RD and save money. I'd prefer not to have one.

We did not have a rehearsal dinner. We took pictures before the ceremony, and we all pretty much knew what we had to do. There wasn't much to rehearse.

Even though we had family come in from out of town, DH and I had too much going on to host a dinner the night before our wedding.

My MIL arranged for a breakfast the morning after the wedding for any out-of-town guests who stayed at the hotel and for our immediate family. It was a great way to re-cap the wedding and spend quality time with our family.
(And Breakfast is a lot cheaper than Dinner!)

We had our rehearsal about an hour before the ceremony. We did a dinner the night before, so technically not a RD, even though thats what we called it. I didn't really want one, but DH's parents insisted. Since they were paying, I didn't say no.

We aren't having a RD either. I am getting married at the reception location and the only time they can do rehearsals is on Wednesday...won't work since both me and the bridal party won't be living in the state at that time. Plan is for a team huddle right before the ceremony

we didn't have one. we got married at the hall and saw no need. the Rabbi lined us up right before the cermony and everything was fine.

We arent having an RD. We are only having an MOH and Best Man and ring bearer. We are also getting married at fox hollow, so there really isnt a need for an RD

Same here. It's exactly why we didn't bother doing it.

However, since we got to the hall early, they did have us run through a quick rehearsal anyway.
