For the girls who will have kids at your wedding

Are you planning on having anything for them to do? I was thinking of making little goodie bags with coloring books, crayons, candy and those small toys. My mom says that its too much and its not necessary.

What are you guys planning on doing for the kiddies? I need more ideas!

I'm going to have them at an activity table with coloring books and goodies. I'm hoping it'll keep them busy and entertained and not cranky and antsy.

I am doing the same and I think it is necessary so they will be kept busy. I did this at my eparty and it worked like a charm.

im gonna do goodie bags but honestly, most of the kids dance like crazyy!! lol its adorablee!

we are inviting kids, but not sure who will bring them. the only kids we KNOW will be there are the ring bearer and flower girl. FH's nephew and GM is 13 and FSIL's boyfriend has two kids around that age, so those three can occupy each other. i don't know how long RB and FG's mom (FSIL) will let them stay. we'll see.

but, back to the point... it depends how many people bring their kids. we only have a few really young ones and i don't know if those people would bring their kids because they are OOT. they might leave them with in laws. who knows... if we do, it will definitely be coloring books or something lke that.

I'm going to do a candy centerpiece for them, as well as a scavenger hunt list with disposable cameras. I think that should keep them entertained!!!

We'll be having children at our RH but we aren't doing a seprate table for them. I really wanted to at first, but there are too many under age 5 that will just be too crazy. I will have them sit with their parents, but I will keep most of them together. Once I get the final tally of how many children will be there I will stop by the Dollar Tree and get a whole bunch of fun stuff to do. Most of the time the kids will be having a blast at the dance floor, but during the things that some kids find boring they will still have something to do. And, in most cases they are done eating before the adults, so at least they won't be sittng there playing with their food. I am also having my RH have 2 people from the wait staff try to keep them entertained... that way the paretns can still have a fun enjoyable night rather then just catering to their little ones.

I was going to but I think its unnecessary because mostly once they get bored all that hard works down the drain!

i have a whole bin going with allllllllllllllllllllllllllll kinds of stuff for them to do
i'm setting up a whole table just for the kids to play and color at in the back of the room.

I had kids from the age of 1 - 6 yrs old and they ran around like crazy. I had coloring books but they didnt touch them. One fell asleep and the rest ran around and danced.

One less thing you might have to worry about

most of our kids will be in diapers but if we have older children we will definitely be prepared... i hate it when kids take their shoes off and slide around the dance floor and when they take the dinner napkins and make bandanas out of them and put them around their faces like robbers from the old west... we will absolutely have activities for them! and the parents will no the rules!!!
