Ebay is really easy to use....Just make sure you put a really detailed description of the item that you are selling in the auction, and post plenty of pictures. The more detailed items are the ones that usually sell compared to the same item with less or no pictures.
There are some items that I never have to post pics of and I make alot of money on them...I guess there is a high demand for certain things.

My hubby is addicted to EBAY. I sold some of my college text books on half.com, which is part of EBAY. Mostly all of my books are still brand new and sold for almost them same prices I purchased them for.

at the moment I have 2 auctions going - one lot for 5 bra sets (all NEW with tags) - my mother went a little nuts for my shower and bought a ton of bra sets - I'm finally getting rid of them. Its at $20 so far. Whatever I can get for them is better then throwing them away.
The other is for a Rejuvenator Plus Massager.
I've sold books, DVDs, makeup, car accessories, my old cameras, etc.
