I am getting ready to set up my classroom and I am looking for any bulliten board ideas. What are you all doing? I would like to have a catchy phrase to put up along with the kids pictures.
Any ideas?

Re: For the teachers...
My September board is always called 'a whole new line up' and I hang string that looks like a clothes line. The kids decorate paper tee shirts that I hang, and it tells about their summer vacations...it is cute!

Christy,
I love that idea. I may borrow it for September!

If you go on the website for Discovery Channel, they have GREAT tools and supplements for teachers. It's www.discovery.com then click on Discovery Schools and then on For Teachers. Hope this helps!

When I taught little ones...I usually did 'Inch your way to success' I had little worms that I cut out and had them write their name and one goal for the year. They really liked it!

School? What's that? I usually take the month of July off from any planning and get going in August! Good luck!

I usually do 'Watch Us Bloom In Kinder-'Garden'', and have the children make flowers. I then take a close up of their faces and put it in the center of the flower.

Aug9 - At first, I thought 'Oh, what a pain to move', then I thought that this is the perfect time without the stress of having the students around. We can't even get into our school (nevermind our own classrooms) until the week before Labor Day. I'm sorry I can't help you with bulletin board ideas because I'm a high school teacher and have enough trouble finding some catchy headline for my bulletin boards. Good luck!

A great tool over the years has been the Mailbox magazine. I've used tons of their ideas & reproducibles. You can pick up a copy at any teacher's store (Weans etc.) & then send in for a subscription. You can also get ideas online with your subscription.
