for the teachers

Since I know there are quite a few out there...how common is the name Isabella? Olivia? Amelia? Hannah?

These are a few I am batting around....thought you might be able to tell me how many of these are knocking around your classrooms!

Re: for the teachers

Not a teacher....but, wanted to add my 2 cents ....if my next is a girl, she will be Isabella (LOVE IT!) and my best friend's little girl is Olivia (but, she spells it Olivea)

Re: for the teachers

I was in HS...so the new names hadn't caught up yet...I hear a lot of Isabel lately (even before the hurricane)...but thats b/c it is a family name for DH and I think I became more aware of it...

Re: for the teachers

Over the past 6 years teaching kindergarten I have had...

2 Isabellas
1 Isobel
1 Olivia
no Amelias (but it's my friend's niece's name )
and 1 Hannah

Hope that helps!

Re: for the teachers

Just thought it was funny how the 2 names, Isabella and Olivia pop up together lately. My SIL has a friend who had twins and named them ISabella and Olivia. and my good friend (Who know lives in AZ) is Isabella and her sis is Olivia, so hearing them together to me sounds so familiar.

Theyre both very pretty names.

Re: for the teachers

If you're into art, pick Isabella and your daughter will be able to get into the Isabella Stewart Gardener Museum for free for the rest of her life I think those are all beautiful names, and as a teacher, I have and have had no one named any of those.

Re: for the teachers

In English no! I haven't had any

I get Isabel all the time but that is their Spanish name that they pick for my class! I don't think that counts

Re: for the teachers

I love the name Isabella and always thought I'd use it if I have a girl, but Jenny, I think it's becoming very common these days. Check the most popular names of 2002.

Whatever name you and DH love should be what you name your lil' girl. They are all beautiful!

Re: for the teachers

I haven't had any students by those names in my 10 years of teaching, but I teach in an inner-city high school. I love the names Isabella and Hannah, though.
