We had a ceremony and it was an hour long. I think the mass would have been two hours.

we had a ceremony but it was an hour he did alot of readings the only we didnt have was communion

I'd like to have one too. I was told that it will be the same length of ceremony also. I was just wondering if there are a few in the crowd in the church, such as friends, who will be offended or just not comfortable (I do have a couple Indian/Hindu/Muslim friends that will be there). But you know what, it's really up to me. They should understand that.

I think you should have the ceremony you want. For you it is a sacrament and I am sure your friends understand that and some may even find it interesting.

I was so fascinated watching one of my co-workers get married in her jewish ceremony.
