For those considering NOT using table cameras...read!!!

Ive read on here alot of people are deciding whether or not to use table cameras..but I highly recommend using them!!! My photogrpaher was great, but he didnt get alot of the candids that I hoped, maybe I didnt stress enough what I wanted, but had it not been for the table cameras and friends personal cameras..I would have missed out on some EXTREMELY important shots, ones of me doing things that are funny..and I would have never had a pic, things of me and Dex, just GREAT pictures..so I highly recommend using the table cameras, I had two per table, and some of my best shots came from those cameras!!! Had I decided to not use the cameras, these great classic pics wouldnt exist!!!

Great Idea! Actually, my mom brought up that point. So we are probably going to use them. Did you buy the 'wedding' cameras? At the end of the night, did the guest leave them on the table?

Yes, I bought the Kodak wedding cameras, my guests all left them..but Ive herad of people numbering them with the table number, that way at the end of the night if some are missing..you know which tabel to ask!!! One photographer cant be everywhere at the same time..and I promise you, my favorite shot was taken by my brother with a camera..Id rather put this particular shot on my wall then any of my proofs, I love my proofs, but the one by my brother is just amazing!!! and I wouldnt have had it if the camera wasnt on the table....even if a camera goes home with a guest..you will still have all of the other cameras, and they will still be pictures you wouldnt have otherwise!!! Our matre d actually went around and picked them up, made sure we had them all!!

Also make sure your DJ or band leader reminds guests to use them. Some of my table camera weren't even used or only had 3-4 pics taken.

Also budget in developing into your budget. We paid around $75.00 - 80.00 for 16 table cameras.

Thanks for the advice! I definitely want lots of photos of my friends, so I think I'm going to do table cameras, too!

we used them and the pics are priceless! we got some crap ones where people 4got to use the flash or whatever but we're so glad we did them....its worth the $$ in the long run!!

I also used wedding cameras with Fugi film & even thoguh I had 2 photographers some of the funniest & most candid shots are on the table cameras....like my cousin huggin the porcelain god in the men's room, and my friend getting dissed by the coat check girl!

Also, I now have about 13 shots of my first dance fromall angles PLUS the professional pics.

Everyone left them on the table & our DJ made an announcement early on (before we were introduced) to let people know what they were about.
Definately one of my better decisions.

I am thinking of not using them. I am going to have 2 photgraphers and 2 videographer, and I know people will walk with their own personal cameras. I thought it would be too much to give people even more cameras. My wedding will only have about 100 people at most. BUt now you are making me think Should I get them anyway just in case
second guessing myself now

for our engagement party we went to price club and got 12 cameras for like $20 and it was so worth it! best advise..just get the ones where you click the button to always have the flash on ( or have the DJ make an announcement) but we got so many pictures that you would have missed otherwise~
