what kind of shoes are your girls getting? dyeables? I was hoping that the girls could get a shoe that they could wear again.....any suggestions of where to look?

My girls will be wearing brown and they'll probably wear gold or bronze metallic shoes. Sorry, no pics yet.

I wore a brown BM dress this past October. Some of the girls wore gold shoes and some wore dyeables. Both were fine.
When you get the dyeables they usually tell you that after the event you can bring the shoes back and get them dyed black at no extra charge...

My wedding is fast approaching and we have not even looked for shoes yet. I went to a wedding last year and I got my brown shoes from DSW. Although they were a little high I think that it should not be a problem find more brown shoes.

IMO, the best thing I qouls say if the dresses are brown, is to have the shoes dyed...if I had a brown BM dress, thats what I'd probably have the girls do....

Thanks ladies!!! I did a search on LIW, and I found someone who posted about piperlime.com- awesome site for shoes!!!! I found a lot of options! I really want to stay away from the dyeables if I can- some of my girls have been in a lot of weddings and it would be nice if they could use the shoe after the wedding (without having to dye it again).

I was just in a wedding where we wore brown and the bride asked us to wear either gold or brown shows. I wore dyeables. The gold looked really pretty too.

love this shoe!!! but it has a 4 inch heel (ouch!)
My girls wore brown and I told them to get whatever shoe matches...some wore brown, some wore bronze and some wore gold...
To be honest I didn't care because no one saw the shoes anyway...and I felt the same way you did - they all have dyeable from previous weddings that don't get used again...so let them get a shoe they will use after...

I think most of my girls will get gold shoes. The sash on their dress is gold. I tod them to get any shoes they want.

i gave my girls the option of either a gold or bronze color shoe. i dont want the same color as the dress, i want the shoes to be a contrast with the dress.
I'm doing brown - Told my girls that anything was fine although i prefer gold/metallic since my wedding colors are brown and gold. I personally have VOWED to be as laid back as possible. It still is a pain in the a$$ no matter what...

i'm letting them wear whatever they're comfortable in and that they think looks good. they're getting to pick their own dresses too though, so it'd be a little weird if i just went after the shoes. =0P
