Re: For those getting married in church

I'm pretty sure they give you a list of appropriate music for wedding ceremonies.

Re: For those getting married in church

I could choose ANYTHING at my church but that is unusual. Most churchs told me I had to use religious music that was approved by the priest.

Re: For those getting married in church

They gave us a list to choose from (which was pretty long) and he said if we wanted something specific to let him know and he'd consider.

I think they're pretty flexible...just ask them.

Re: For those getting married in church

They tell me they will give me a list of appropriate music - BUT I can add anything I wish provided it is religious music. We are not allowed to have secular music.

Re: For those getting married in church

Totally depends on your Church. I was allowed to choice my music, but I didn't choice anything non-religious really. Some Churches allow you to ONLY choice songs from an approved list. Call and verify the information with your Chruch.

Re: For those getting married in church

my priest would not allow us to bring any music into the church. we weren't allowed to bring cd's or anything. all of the music had to be done by the singer and the organist. if the organist knew the music it could be done. my organist was about 100 yeards old, so she only knew the traditional wedding music.

Re: For those getting married in church

We were given the approved music list along with a CD to listen to how the church organist played them. We could not deviate from the list.
