For those girls who are as tall as or taller than FI....

My FI is exactly my height.

While I wear heels all the time, on my wedding day I don't want to be towering over him with the big hair and veil and throw shoes on top of that !!!

Are there any bridal shoes out there that are ballet slippers or very small heels(1' or less) that are not DOWDY looking !!!

Someone help me, please !!!

My fiance is my exact height also, so I am going to wear my hair low so I am not towering him, and I found a pair of shoes by Kate Spade that have a kitten heel-they are on page 74 in the March/April edition of Bride Magazine. They are pricey, but they are adorable and have a very low heel. They are worth it. I was thinking of wearing a flat shoe, but then I'll probably feel dowdy-I need a heel to ensure walking like a lady instead of like a man. The shoes should be on Kate Spade.com also. If he wears a shoe with an insert or with a slight heel, and we wear a tiny heel, it will appear that he is really taller, and then he'll be happy. I know my FH would kill me if I wore a big heeled shoe like I usually wear. If you hear about ones that are cheaper, let me know. Good luck!

I like those...where can I get those? I have the same problem...I'm 5'11' and FH is 6'2'. Usually I wear heels about 2 inches high...but on our wedding day I'm worried with the veil and all...

Thats how I was.

I got them at Craft shoes in Commack & they were very comfy too!

I went onto Yahoo shopping and found 'ballet-slipper' type shoes. They had a hard-sole bottom, almost flat for $40. I didn't see the point in buying a pair for the ceremony only to change for the reception.

FH and I are the exact same hight. I wanna wear ballet type slippers too. I never wear heels anyhow so I would feel uncomfortable in them, even if they were very low. And I hate the way flats look too. I'd go barefoot if I could...or in socks!

I am only 5 foot 1 he is almost 6 foot so I have the opposite problem, I don't want high high heels all night and if I wear them just for pictures when I change the gown will drag.............I don't want the height difference to be so apparant in pictures of just the two of us. I don't know what to do.

Although I cannot personally relate to your situation (my FH is 6'2'' I'm 5'6'') but my friend is the exact same height as her husband and on her wedding day she wore ballet slippers the whole day-throughout the reception. She was comfortable, because she is used to never wearing heels---so maybe that is an option for you!

OK - short and sweet! (Well maybe)
I'm taller than my FH (by 2-3 inches - then add my shoes and veil!!)- I'm 5' 11' (to begin with - probablly 6'5' with the shoes and veil - but (so far) he's cool with my height and does not care that I'm tall

But if you can solve it with slippers - then go for it!!!

But if you can't it's not a big deal - take photos on stairs (him up - you down - your train can cover the stairs, a milk crate for him to stamd on - - or have him in the forground - closer to the camera - he'll look much bigger.

Don't worry about photos - the pros have it covered!!!!

I am 5'4' and FH is maybe 5'6'
he likes when I wear heels but I put my foot down on this one (hehehe, sorry for the pun!) and told him I am wearing ballet slippers. I took ballet for 14 years so it is fitting

I am so glad I am not the only tall girl here. I am 5'8' and my fiance is 5'3'. Dont laugh... I LOVE short guys and always will. Well maybe now just him, but anyway, I will defiantely have to wear ballet slippers and he will have to wear lifts in his shoes or something.

My FH is 2 inches taller than me and he HATES when I wear heels. I was planning on wearing flip flops, but I don't think they will look nice with my dress, so I think I'm giong to wear ballet slippers. I'm defintely wearing flats of some sort.
