For those having a memorial candle...

I am unsure when it should be lit. I have heard some opt to before the ceremony or sometimes in the middle. I am having a Catholic Mass if that helps. Any thoughts on when it is usually done?

I was told that it's done after you light the unity candle, so that's what we're doing.

We had ours lit at the very beginning of the .ceremony so that it was lit throughout the whole ceremony.

I don't know who your memorial candle is for but mine will be for my father. I saw an idea in a mgazine to light it before you walk down the aisle...I guess it would be at the last pew in the church. I am not sure if I am going to do thaty et...I don't know I feel about stopping after I have already begun to walk down the aisle but then again I think it is a great way the sort of symbolize him walking me down the aisle, espcially if I put it in the porgram so everyone knows what it is for. I am still undecided, hope that helps...good luck!
