For Those in their late 20's (and those who've passed it)

When FH and I marry in September we are not planning on having kids right away. I have never been one to get all googly over havin babies. However...

the past few years ( and its getting worse) i keep having baby dreams. When its my time of the month - I get depressed that my period came and that im not pregnant!!

Im emotionally NOT ready. Im financially NOT ready. Is this just that biological clock sh*t creeping up? Is it that my body is ready although the rest of me isn't?

Does anyone else (or has anyone else) feel this way - ya know, not ready ...but yet an emtional basketcase when 'it's that time'?

Also, am I the only one who gets emotional and overly PMS-ish not only that time of the month but when ovulating?

Sorry gals - Im just losing my mind!

I don't have dreams about babies, but I do have to catch myself from staring at babies when we are out in public. I just kind of day dream sometimes about what it will be like when we have a family. I think its completely normal.

I'm still a little on the younger side, so I cant help you with the whole bioloigcal clock thing. BUT, it almost sounds to me like you have an unconscious fear of not being able to get pregnant Is that a possibility?

wow - psychiclady - the thought had crossed my mind before. wasnt a bad thing when i 'didnt wanna have kids' however since i first met FH thats changed. That COULD be it. Ive known myself in the past to get myself crazy for no good CCONSICOUS reason.

Maybe that could be it? or maybe it could be a combination? It started when I was about 25-26 yrs old and just sseems to be getting worse. but i only met FH two years ago. hmmm

I want a baby all the time!! It is completely normal, we are programmed to feel that way so the world keeps populated! Anyway, I am 27 and we are planning to wait about a year 1/2 to have a baby, I would do it tomorrow if I could, but I am not ready fiancially or emotionally!

I know who you feel. I will be 29 this year, and I thought I would be on my 2nd kid be now. We would like to wait at least a year to enjoy Married Life and Travel a little bit before we do have children.
But Lately, I have been wanting them more and more. We are Not Fiinancially readly either, or emotionally ready. I Love my Sleep way too much to give it up.

It is definitely the biological clock.

I think I figured it out a few years ago...

Biologically, you are in prime time for baby making...socially you may not be...meaning you may not have accomplished what you thought you would accomplish before you have a baby...

Does that make any sense?

It's a modern day dilemma...

You may be more emotionally ready than you think!
