For those ladies who decided NOT to go to Hawaii for their HM

What was the reason?
I'm debating whether to go to Hawaii for our HM, but, I'm afraid that it'll filled with elderly people and families w/ kids.

Don't get me wrong, I'd be happy to vacation w/ both groups, just not on my HM. I rather it be a place heavily dominated with HM couples...

We don't have the money for Hawaii and FH is afraid to fly. He freaks out on an hour and a half flight to South Carolina so there is no way he'd make it to Hawaii

I would love to go to Hawaii someday. but the reason we did not go for our HM is that we want our HM to be the most relaxing it can be and we've already been to where we are going in Jamaica and know what to expect... and that's nothing but an awesome time and the most relaxing feeling we ever felt on a vacation!

I agree, I think that's why we decided on a place that I know and have been to 3 times..

I've been to Hawaii and the plane ride is no joke... 13 hours I believe in flight...

We decided not to go to Hawaii because we heard there are no all inclusives available there. We want to go on our HM and not have to worry about anything... so we are now deciding between Riviera Maya in Mexico and St. Lucia... leaning more towards the Rivera Maya.

It's too far... FH can only take a week off for the HM.

FH had never been to Europe, and I lived in Rome for a year and am DYING to get back. So ewe decided that a European adventure was more our style. Heck, our first vacation together was 2 weeks in Peru, including hiking the Inca Trail! We aren't exactly sit back and relax kind of people, so I don't know that Hawaii would best explain us or suit us as our Honeymoon destination!

Wow....13hrs in flight!!! ouch!
I also heard there's no all-inclusive and things can get very expensive in Hawaii.

we decided hawaii bec my parents are giving us their time share and it was between hawaii, atlantis in bahamas or st john.. well we were gonna do st john but they just got badly beaten by a hurricane and atlantis we figured would be filled with families being columbus weekend and both those places are in the area of hurricanes and we are going during hurricane season so we chose hawaii.
