For those ladies who decided NOT to go to Hawaii for their HM

What was the reason?
I'm debating whether to go to Hawaii for our HM, but, I'm afraid that it'll filled with elderly people and families w/ kids.

Don't get me wrong, I'd be happy to vacation w/ both groups, just not on my HM. I rather it be a place heavily dominated with HM couples...

I would have loved to go to Hawaii, but we didn't have to money to do it right and FH hates to be on a plane for a long period of time.

we were planning in going for at least 10 days but I heard there's only so much to do and that after a while it get boring, sooo...we decided Italy since none of us have been there

I FINALLY HAVE A DATE TWIN!!!!! it's sooo f-ing awesome!!!!!!!! we'll be getting married on the same day!

I FINALLY HAVE A DATE TWIN!!!!! it's sooo f-ing awesome!!!!!!!! we'll be getting married on the same day!

I had no interest in going to hawaii so we chose europe instead.

I love kids, I'm a preschool teacher, but I don't want them around on my honeymoon. It was definitely a requirement for wherever we stayed to be 'kidfree'.

I don't really mind the lil' kids and elderly too much, what worried us was that we might get bored since we wanted to go to our HM for more than a week and there's only so much u can do on an island, so that helped us deciding the new destination...La Bella Italia!

Our HM was the longest vacation both DH and I would get for a long time, so we figured we should go to one of the farthest places possible.

We went to Australia.

I would love to go to Hawaii someday. but the reason we did not go for our HM is that we want our HM to be the most relaxing it can be and we've already been to where we are going in Jamaica and know what to expect... and that's nothing but an awesome time and the most relaxing feeling we ever felt on a vacation!

i haven't yet decided to NOT do hawaii, but these are the reasons I'd shy away from going...im worried that our budget won't be enough to do hawaii the way we'd want...

After many many many talks with the TA -- Cory helped us pick St. Lucia and I couldn't be happier with what we are getting for the money!!!! 2 weeks in paradise here we come...

FH hates plane rides that are that long -- he is 6'4 and never comfy even in 1st class :)

Oh ya and our whole honeymoon is costing the same amount as just the standard guest room at the Four Seasons in Hawaii would have been. And we get a private pool - watch out hahahaha

we have been to Hawaii before - thats why we aren't going on our HM. Hawaii is GORGEOUS! dont worry about elderly people! you will have a great time!

it also depends on what island you stay on. there is more nightlife on certain islands and different crowds on the islands also

I agree. I also feel as though lots of people go to Hawaii for their honeymoon. We definitely wanted to do something different and wanted to have a 'once in a lifetime' type of honeymoon so we are going to the French Polynesian islands (Bora Bora, Tahiti, etc). I def want to go to Hawaii some day though - it looks beautiful!!
