For those making CD's

For those making CD's

Where did you buy the actual disks? What kind of disks did you buy? How much did they cost? What type of case did you buy, the slim kind or the regular? What is a good price for them?

Thank you
Alina

I don't remember for sure where we got them, but I think the CD's were Best Buy -we ended up getting about 300 for all of about $6 after rebates- we checked the ads every week and when they had super sales (the last one might have been the day after Thanksgiving) we bought them up. Same thing with the cases - we are using slim cases - we got 200 for about $6 too I think. I don't remember what brand the CD's were - not Fuji or Maxell - but we've used a bunch and no problem.

I got I think 200 or 300 (so long ago & haven't started burning yet) for like $4 on sale at Best Buy (mail in rebate). Fuji disks I think.

i think we used Comp USA for pretty much everything. you can tons of disks for pretty cheap if you use a rebate!
same thing on the cases, but they can be a pain in the arse to find! we used the thicker 'jewel' cases because i thought they were easier to insert a picture and stuff for a nice cover, plus, it gives the CD a 'side' where you can write your names and date and stuff. but the thin ones are nice too.

it was actually a big hit at the wedding and people really liked it as a favor. and they weren't as hard to make as i thought they would be, although DH and i had a few 'tiffs' about the content. Whoever would have thought he liked show tunes?!

Alina - how many songs did you get on your disk? I'm doing the CD favor too & my biggest problem is cutting songs, but its gotta be done.

Re: For those making CD's

Good question. We have 18 songs on the list now, but we didn't buy CD's yet. Of the 18 songs, I think 12 are musts, and they should fit. I still have to get some mp3 files for the songs.

Sorry, no answer for you yet... Once I'm done, I'll try to post or you can remind me in a week or two.

I got some reall cool 'hologram' cd labels for my Cds---they come out really cool too! I got them Clearance last weekend at Target, I think $3.50 for 50? I forget...its not by me right now....I will do the regular cases, so I can make a cover and do the spine label thing. We are not even going to attempt doing it till we know OUR song and stuff like hat...our Wedding is over a Year away---but being its ON HALLOWEEN< The MOnster Mash has to be a Must!! LOL....
