If your FH or DH is invited to a friend's bachelor party and you know they are going to be hiring strippers....what do you do?

I personally hate strippers and FH and I agreed no strippers at his Bachelor party. BUT if one of his friends is having his, I would feel bad telling FH im not cool with him going....but in all honesty, i dont think i could stomach it.

My FH hates strippers too. For his own bachelor party he only wants to go to AC and gamble. I understand what you are saying.

B/c it is a friends bachelor party, I would tell him he can go if he wants b/c I trust him. I know he would say he couldn't be bothered with that sh**t.

What does your FH say? Does he want to go? If he is not into that and does not want to go, he should tell them.

They shoudl understand.

I say that you just have to trust his judgement and know that he will handle himself appropriately in this situation. Let him go, if you trust him, it really should not be that big of a deal.

If you cannot stomach it then voice your concern, your FH is not obligated to go to a bachelor's party. There are other ways of having fun that doesnt involve a stripper.

Maybe I'm too bitter or that i hear too much of this crap from my guy friends but things are different when a bunch of guys get together. They like to show off to each other that they're cool and sometimes they cross the line despite their 'best judgment' all because of the peer pressure at that moment.

Honestly....'Here's a couple of singles you can jam in her G-string!' Of course there is to be no kind of sexual activity whatsoever. Lap dances included! He knows that!
PLUS...my 6'4' brother would beat his 5'8' @ss to a pulp!

i'm not one of those woman who will say 'you cant go here' or 'you cant go there'...but i will definitely voice my opinion so he knows how i feel! tell him you're not thrilled with the idea but he's an adult and can make that decision for himself.

on a side note, neither of my brothers-in-law went to DH's bachelor party because my sisters knew they were going to strip clubs and said they felt better if they didnt go...so they didnt.

my FH was invited to a bachelor party a couple of months ago and they made it perfectly clear that they were going to a strip club. My FH doesn't like them so he declined they gave him a little bit of a hard time, but they got over it and he stood his ground. You have to trust him. I would let him know your opinion and let him make his own decision. If he does decide to go then you have to trust that he won't do anything bad.

My FI hates strippers and always had. His friends told me that even when he was single he never went to strip clubs.

He's been invited to MANY bachelor parties and once it was time for the strippers to appear or go to strip clubs, he comes home. He has no time for that kind of thing ;)

So to say the least, I don't have to worry about him at all

You can't really control other peoples' parties, ya know?

Wouldn't you be upset if one of your BM couldn't come to your BP because her FH wasn't comfortable with your BP activities? I mean, maybe you wouldn't do anything objectionable at your BP...but I'm just giving you another perspective.

I think you just have to trust him. He's marrying you. Not the girl swinging on the pole.

I dont like strippers either, but his bachelor party was 'destined' to have strippers. (Because of what all his friends did) Did I like it? Hell no!! Was i going to stop it? Couldn't happen.

I didn't have a stripper myself. But I couldn't stop DH from his party, or any of his friend's parties. It just happens.

me too!!! You cannot tell him not to go, esp if you trust him, if you tell him not to go he may resent you for it.

My FH had his bachelor party at AC and although we both made it clear to our BP that we didn't want strippers the guys hired strippers. John was really angry and upset and said that he is never going to another bachelor party if he knows strippers are a possiblity.

Also if your FH is going to a bachelor party and they are hiring a stripper, chances are you FH will have to chip in for that, GROSS~

FH knows my feelings about it and totally respects them.

We are not having bachelor / bachelorette parties either. We'll have one big party with all our friends together and that's it.

I have VERY strong feelings about it, and FH respects them. Strippers should NOT be more important than you... so I would just talk to him about it (calmly) and see how he reacts.

I disagree. To me, it's not about trust - it's about respect. If he knows I have such very strong feelings about it, then he should be able to respect that. I'm not asking a lot by asking that he not go to strip clubs / hire a stripper.

Plenty of people feel differently about it, and that's fine -- but if she feels strongly about it, I don't think it's unreasonable to request he not have strippers.

ETA -- It's not that I think anyone who has strippers or lets their FH has strippers is wrong or anything... It's just not for me... and I feel that if someone feels that strongly about something like this, their feelings should be respected.

Doesnt bother me. I trust FH he can look but knows I'll break his hands if he touches.
