For those of us (I know there's been a lot lately) who hate their jobs...

I sometimes wonder if I hate my job b/c it really does suck, or just b/c I'd rather NOT be working at all. I wish I could be one of those people who love their jobs!!!! How does that happen? Are they just lucky?

I wonder the samething. I think part of it is we get bored of doing the samething day in and day out. And it also depends on the Co you work for, if they are good to their employees or not. I miss my last job is was the country club but the $ was not that great.

I dont know how it happens but I dont think it will ever happen to me.

My husband loves his job and its hard for me not to hate him for it.

I envy the people that enjoy going to their job every day.

I would love to be able to stay home or find a way to make enough money part time and still be able to do things we enjoy like travel and to save for a home, but I don't think that can happen just yet.

I guess I would rather suffer through the daily grind for a little while longer and maybe make some major changes in 4 or 5 years.

I love what I do I just hate the company I work for. My boss and most of my co workers are great its just all the corporate BS that gets to me.

I think it has alot to do with the environment. I worked a job for a year and a half and loved going to work every day. It was a small non-profit, 12 people and it was like a family we celebrated birthdays, had bridal showers, baby showers, went to happy hour together had lunch together....it was really a pleasant environment. I left because of $$ too and haven't been in a place like it yet.

I really do not like my job and it's hard to come home to a hubby who LOVES his. i am miserable at work

OK I love my job!!! Don't get me wrong the BS of the adminstration frustrates the Crap out of me. But I truly love being with the kids watching that little light bulb go on when they get the concept that I am teaching. Yes, I hate getting up in the morning and love my days off but I love being in the room with them and other than lunch I hate my off periods and duty periods because I would much rather be with them all day!!

On a side note if I had answered this question last year my statements might have been much different but of the 8 years I have been there I have only had that 1 year that was pretty bad so I am happy!!

FI and I both love our jobs. But it has more to do with the people we work with, than anything else.
I enjoy the type of work I do, but I adore my boss and co-workers so it makes it easy. (Even after taking a $12k paycut when I moved here from NY).
FI is a firefighter/paramedic and you HAVE to love that job in order to do it!

I so want to change jobs..heck, change careers is more like it. I'm not enjoying my time in corporate Am. at all ... I am so disappointed with it but stick it out all because of the $$$

This topic is so near and dear to my heart, I have been struggling with getting the courage to make a career change, not just a job change. I am planning to go back to school later this year to get my Masters in Ed to become a elem. teacher. I am realizing that corporate America is probably not for me

I recently left my job to go back to school for my Masters in Education. I am actually so bored right now sitting home. I can't wait for classes to start on the 21st so I can have homework to do. I never thought I would say that. I have been looking into being a substitute teacher though. However so far that isn't working out very well.
