We will be able to put down 20% on a new home when we find the right one.
We're older, so we've finished paying off our student loans and have no CC debt so everything we were paying to them we've been putting into a 'house' fund for the past few years.
We've also worked with a financial advisor who played around with different money amounts and found what we would be comfortable paying each month, so that narrowed down our house search.
