Re: For those of us that are BF or pumping
I unfortunately am on the mini-pill and get it practically every two weeks! If not more actually. I hate it and I think that I am going to stop taking it...I *wish* I was like a normal BF and not getting it, but I am not so lucky

Re: For those of us that are BF or pumping
I had breakthrough bleeding at about 6 months- it lasted only a day or two and happened every few months. It didn't get regular until about 14 months pp.

YES!! BF is not a form of birth control. And you are the most fertile after giving birth.

Re: For those of us that are BF or pumping
I did not get mine for 3 months, but I was still BF'ing full time. I was not one of the lucky ones who stays clear of AF until after weaning. You can get pregnant because you ovulate about 2 weeks before your period. Since you do not know when the first one postpartum will start, you may time sex just before ovulation without knowing it. You are also more fertile so there is a good chance you will get pg even if you need 'help' or it took a long time for the previous pregnancy.

Re: For those of us that are BF or pumping
I have been pumping full-time for 7 months and still no AF. I did spot for a few hours one day last month though but the OB said that is not considered an AF at all.
But BFing is NOT a form of birth control. You can easily get pregnant while bfing.

Re: For those of us that are BF or pumping
I got my AF at 7 weeks and I BF exclusively!! I think it may be in part because I started the mini pill for BC, of which I don't trhink I am going to continue to take.
