For those of you have been pregnant and have given birth?

For those of you have been pregnant and have given birth?

In your opinion what time of year is the best time to be pregnant, give birth and be on maturity leave and why?

I am not TTC, but just wondering when we do try when is the best time and what are the reasons?

Right now I am thinking I would like to be home with a baby during this time of year so I don't have to deal with all of this snow and commuting.

Just wondering everyone else's opinions and reasons.

Thats funny - cause I have been asking myself the same question all week!

I got pg in Sept and the baby is due on May 25. I think it's great timing bc I can be home with the baby during the summer and take nice walks, etc....

I had a friend who was pregnant during the summer and she was miserable. Each pregnancy is different so it depends on the individual. I didn't have any morning sickness and with 11 weeks to go, I feel good.

I have heard the late pregnancies in the summer are the worst, particularly because of the heat.

I had my daughter the end of August. I felt great through my pregnancy but towards the end and with the heat I was kinda miserable. My ankles swelled so bad that all I could wear were flip flops.
I think having a baby right before the summer is a good time

I got pregnant at the end of July and am now due in April. I have to say I have been VERY nervous driving during the past few snow storms because of being pregnant... BUT on the other side, my hands are swelling right now at 8 months. I think if it were the summer I would be VERY uncomfortable in the heat.

I couldn't agree more, expect add in my legs too!!!

Plus during the Spring and Summer you can get out for walks and take the baby out a little and not be as fearful of the germs

Ali, that's what I was thinking--heat *****, but ice is no good either. I saw a pregnant woman hobbling to to the train today--it is bad enough for me to stay balance on all the ice, I feel bad for pregnant people walking in this!

No time is ideal--the weather is so unpredicatable. I was born in late April & there was a heat wave that month, around Easter. My mom said she was miserable b/c she didn't have any summer maternity clothes. (my older brother was born in February)

I am due 4/1 and feel it is a good time to be off with the baby. I always wanted to have a baby in the beginning of the summer.

I'm due in the end of July and I KNOW I'm going to be miserable because of the heat. I would definately recommend aiming for a due date before or after the summer.

Well Mine wasn't planned by we conceived her on mid november and she was born august 20. Honestly, I was fine but yet again, I had the best pregnancy.
