What music are you walking into and cutting the cake too? I was wondering because FH and I don't want to play CD's since we are paying so much $$ for the band. Any of your bands playing the music for these occasions?

No thats not what I mean. All the suggestions I have gotten for entrance songs..etc are popular music...like dance music. I was wondering if people were having their band play a CD for the entrance or where they playing something themselves??

I can't even remember to tell you the truth.
Our band played and instrumental upbeat thing for our announcements and I really don't know what they played for the cake. If we ever get the video I will let you know.

I don't know what music we are using yet, but our band will play the music for those parts of the receptions. A good band should be able to do the popular stuff.

We're deciding that now...there are a bunch of websites that can help you out and give you suggestions for that....i think LIW even has a place for that somewhere up there on the top of the screne...maybe planning..... it's tough because there are so many good songs to choose from!!! good luck! i'll let you know what we choose...if we decide any day soon!!

we are walking in to the theme from 2001 a space oddysey ( yes we are strange) the bridal party is comming in to ghostbusters the cake cutting song is the alfred hitchcock theme - ( can you tell we are into theme music) i dont remember what else you asked but yes our band is playing all the music even this stuff - lol

We all walked in to 'Tenth Ave. Freeze Out' by Bruce Springsteen. We cut the cake to Adam Sandler's 'grow Old with You' from the Wedding Singer.
A good band should be able to do any popular dance song that is on the radio today. And they should learn any song you want without a problem. They should give you a list of songs that they know, or it might be on their website. You'd be surprised at what some songs bands know.

my band is fantasia and they said they can and will learn anything i want for the wedding - they are a whole family and i think it is going to be tons of fun
