Name and street address on outer
Names of invited guests on inner. Placed inner inside outer with names facing the back of the outer envelope.
I wrote on the envelopes using a calligraphy pen.

good luck!

hmmm....its all trail and error...even if you put the right size envelope in (custom size)

just take regular paper thats kinda clear, cut out the same size of your envoples... and do trial and error till you get it right...(this way, you dont use your envoples.

i think its easier to use MS pupblisher

I used clear labels w/ red ink on the invite envelopes and chose Lucida Calligraphy font.
They came out really nice! Because the labels were clear they looked as though it was handwritten.

I was going to write them out w/ a calligraphy pen but figured it would take longer and wouldnt look as neat, esp the spacing and alignment.

The Mr and Mrs with address on the outer then just their surnames (Paul and Jane) on the inner.

If you are inviting a single person with the guest then their name Mr. John blah on the outer and John & guest on the inner.

If I did not have a calligrapher I would find someone with nice script handwriting its justmore personal

We printed the addresses directly on the outer envelope only. We didnt bother with the inner envelops and left them blank.

Yes, I had heard the name of the recipient's and address go on the outer envelope, and the names of the invited guests go on the inner (list children on the inner envelope if they are invited). No abbreviations other than Mr. and Mrs.

I'm handwriting mine myself. My handwriting is nowhere near calligrapher calliber, but it is neat and passable. Call me cheap, but I can't see paying someone to do this, and I only have around 40 to do. I like handwritten envelopes much better myself than labels. Do your bridal party, friends, or other relatives have nice handwriting? They may be able to help you. I bought a good pen this week.
