For those of you who got married on a Friday

What time was your mass at the church? Can you choose a time and if you want a full mass? I may be having my reception in Queens and being that I'm from Staten Island I'm concerened with getting to the reception really late. We figured a start time of 8pm.

i do not think a RH will start a CH at 8:00PM on a friday. that will mean your CH will be 8-9 Reception 9-1 & if u have a vienese hour 1-2.

the church i booked with said i could pick any time on a friday. i did not have to pick a mass or just ceremony yet. i picked church at 2 only because we r taking pictures at the botanical gardens & need time. but a 3:00 church would be good to. i think your CH should start at 7:00. any later people will leave early.

we have to remember with friday weddings some people can not take off from work.

my ceremony is at 3 and i'm having a full mass. Cocktail i believe starts at 7 but i can push it back to 7:30 if need be. My hall is about..... 35 minutes away from the church.

My main concern with a Fri wedding is traffic. Luckily i'm having mine on yum kippur so schools will be closed, colleges are closed, and some offices close early too.

I'm having the cocktail hour start at 7:30 pm. The reception will end at 12:30. The RH is far from the church which is why I'm starting it late, the church is at 4 pm (ceremony only).

We are getting married at The Royalton on a Friday and our CH is 8:00 pm-9:00 pm, dinner and dancing from 9:00-1:00 am and we have an afterparty booked from 1:00 am-3:00 am. We expect about half the guests will stay for the afterparty. We aren't getting married in a church though, our ceremony is at The Royalton. The invitation is for 7:00 pm, because they do a Bellini upon arrival and sparkling water, as well as cold little canapes, and I want people to be able to enjoy that! The ceremony starts at 7:30 pm. There are lots of options, and most RH should be willing to work with you to get what you want.
