me and Fh have not registered yet. did u find that any items that you have registered for too far in advance have been discontinued.. like china/flatware/glasses for example... ?
i want to register im just scared by next year when my shower arrives some things i have registered for will no longer be available...

I have registered/am in the process of registering. I update it online when I have time. So far nothing's been discontinued, but I have the same concerns as you. My plan is to keep checking it, particularly as it gets closer to my shower invites going out, and if anything gets discontinued I will just replace it as the need arises. I'm not sure what to do if something like china is discontinued though...
Yes - my bedding - I was pretty upset cause I really liked that bedding. I would wait as long as u can to put the bedding on...

We reg. right away but just picked out our china patter 2 mths ago. many stuff has been taken off and i havehad to update our reg.

So far, nothing that I have registered for has been discontinued. I've seen my stuff go on sale a number of times but that's about it. The way I look at it is that if something gets discontinued; I will find something else that I like to replace it. There is always something new coming out; so don't worry. If something gets discontinued; you will most likely find something else just as nice.

Bedding is seasonal so they tell you to register for that closer to the date of your shower. Mine will be discontinued soon they said so my grandmother purchased it for me in advance just in case. (Macy's)
Also, Towels usually get discontinued (BBB - haven't had this experience on Macy's yet)
Other kitchen electronics get discontinued as well when a new model comes out .. my pressure cooker and kitchen-aid hand mixer has been suppose to becomes discontinued for the last few weeks now (according to Macy's) but it's still available. ??
