For those of you who moved in before you got married..

Was there anything about DH or something that they did that made you think twice about getting married? Im sure a lot of you learned things you didnt know about them.

I honestly don't think there's anything that's making me think 2x about marrying him.

Altho, if there was one thing I could change about him I really wish he'd quit smoking!!! But I already knew about that beforehand, and that he really can't unless he wants to do it for himself.

For me...it helped to make the decision. He had always been at home, and I had the house, I was afraid he wasn't ready for the responsibility. I have been on my own since I was 18, so very independent, and I needed to see that from him before I could committ. Thankfully it worked out perfectly. We were not even engaged when he moved in.. I really wanted to see how we worked together ina home before I made that decision. My conclusion.

ALL GOOD!

Not at all. We moved in together before we got engaged (something I swore I would never do) and I am so glad we did. The adjustment was so smooth. It only made me more sure that I wanted to marry him. I was also very independent and this was the first time out of the house he grew up in, so it was helpful to me to see that he could be independent as well.

we live together...before we got engaged..but not on our won yet. It's so weird that we do this..but I couldnt imagine now eating and sleeping with him every night.....

We moved in together about a year and a half ago, and we got a puppy at the same time. It was a lot to adjust to at once, and we definitely had our share of fights because of it...but I don't think I had second thoughts about being with him. Knowing him so well at the time of our engagement made me that much more sure that I wanted to marry him.

It definitely wasn't easy the first few months, but we are a much stronger and happier couple as a result!

FH and I live together and things are good...He knew I was a slob before he moved in and he still loves me and wants to marry me. Although I am a bit more organized and on time now that he lives with me. No reservations at all!

I didnt think twice about wanting to marry him- but it did teach me a lot more about it- that i am glad i found out before we were engaged/married- like i have said before- if i started our first year of marriage with some of the challenges we had I would have been sad- now we know eachother and how we live and the quirks- and I love him all the more for it!

Hey! We are getting married at Chateau also!!!

There is nothing that makes me think twice about marrying my fiance. We just moved in together in april and honestly, it's been so easy adjusting. I thought it would be a challenge b/c we were long distance (4 hrs apart) for the last 3 yrs!!!! I'm so happy we adjusted well and I am really glad we decided to live together before marriage.

I have been with my fiance since I was 15 years old ( 5 1/2 years baby)so we have been living with my parents for a while. It has been great and could not imagine it any different. I don't want to change anything about him, because then he wouldn't be the person I fell in love with, right? It is all about what works for you...

we moved in together b4 we got engaged. no more secrets...no more hiding a bad hair day or any other things that we all 'hide'.

I'm glad we don't have to go through that revealing stage now though!!!

I think for us the biggest adjustment was seeing so much more of each other. We're both very independent and prior to moving in together, we would spend maybe 2 nights a week together at either his place or mine. . . I was completely used to having 'my space' and so was he - so it was definitely a change, and to be totally honest there were times when I said to him 'I just want the apartment to myself right now - you have to go somewhere else!'

I absolutely believe it was the right thing for us to do and we've really become a team in a way that we weren't before. I learned a lot about him and am more convinced that we are a great match.
