We moved to Georgia. It was both easy and hard. WE were visiting...and in the process we found a house and DH got a job offer. We went back to NY and in a week we were packed up and driving the UHaul down to GA.
We stayed with SIL and her family for a month, the house we found fell through, so we ended up in an apt. which was awesome for us. We got to know the area better and found a MUCH better deal on a house. I'm on my third job down here....
it was hard leaving my family and friends and it's still hard because I miss them so much. But, we;ve made new friends, found a nice church, and I LOVE my job.
We live in Suwanee now, which is about 30 miles north of Atlanta and are moving to Bethlehem which is about another 20 miles East of where we are now. It's a different county and much cheaper than where we are and more rural, but the big developmental push is going out that way (much like the push from Nassau into Suffolk several years ago!) so we'll be making a huge profit! Plus we have 5 ACRES of land!!!
