For those throwing rose petals

How are you distributing the petals to your guests? Are you using the cones or is there anything else you could use instead?

We put them in small celephane bags that were placed in a basket sealed with a silver rose sticker. They were in baskets that sat on tables behind the last row of chairs at our ceremony.

Hi Ladies--I am planning on throwing rose petals as well & am thinking of using the cones, but I have a question though--does anyone what happens (hopefully it won't) if it rains? Would they still be able to throw rose petals or is that too messy? Should we have a Plan B?

It rained while we were leaving the church on my wedding day. I really wanted the picture so my guests waited with umbrellas. The pictures still came out nice

Where did everyone get their cones from and a price if possible.

Did anyone make their own cones? If so how?

I am using small tulle pouches that have ties on each side to close them. I hope I explained that so you could visualize what I mean.

I had them loose in a basket. My cousins served as 'Flower Girls' and held the basket. Everyone took a handful on their way out after hte recieving line. I liked it...didn't have to make even more stuff (I made so much) and there was no clean up/mess at the church above and beyond the pedals.

I won them at the LIweddings get together from Linda's Lovelies. She advertises on here ..sorry i don't know how much they are. You can get them imprinted with a graphic and have your names and wedding date imprinted and they add a bow.

I made the cones myself using music sheet paper (the song I walked down the isle to)

it was so simple - just twist up and add a dab of glue!
